In case you missed it, President Obama awarded 24 Medals of Honor to black, Hispanic, and Jewish soldiers yesterday. The men fought in WWII, Korea and Vietnam, but were denied the prestigious award due to their race or religion. Sgt 1st Class Melvin Morris was one of the black soldiers, whose Distinguished Service Cross got upgraded. You can read more on the extraordinary accomplishments of these heroes on the U.S. Army website here.
